Bosphorus Villa
A completed villa interior photographed in late-afternoon light. A wall of gilded panels sets the tone; cream barrel chairs with black trim, navy velvet armchairs, a brass hexagonal side table and a trio of ribbed glass pendants complete a palette of gold, silver-grey and walnut.
Gilded wall panels, grey velvet and brass in the afternoon sun.
The ground floor is one continuous room that moves from sitting area to dining area and out to the garden. Rather than divide it, we let the materials change: smoked timber floors run throughout, while the walls shift from plain cream plaster to a screen of hand-applied metal leaf that catches the low sun.
Seating is arranged in small groups — two barrel chairs around a brass and stone table, a walnut coffee table on a Greek-key rug — so that the room can be used by two people as comfortably as by twenty. The television lounge is dressed in navy velvet with gilded display niches.
The dining area beyond is set with an oval marble table on brass legs and patterned chairs; upstairs, the master suite pairs a channelled ivory headboard with mirrored wardrobes and a long dressing table looking over the Bosphorus.
