District One Residence
From concept design to 3D visualisation: an apartment in District One, Dubai. A palette of bleached oak, white marble, brass and teal answers the lagoon views; each bedroom carries its own quiet colour story — indigo, mosaic green, coral.
Living, dining and kitchen share one volume; the ceiling cove defines each zone without walls.
The living, dining and kitchen occupy one continuous volume wrapped in floor-to-ceiling glass. A curved ceiling cove with a slatted timber inlay follows the plan and holds the lighting, so that the ceiling itself becomes the room’s only ornament.
Materials are few and repeated: white-oak veneer on cabinetry and wall panels, book-matched blue-grey marble on the television wall, brass in thin lines. Two crystal chandeliers and a rug in turquoise introduce the softness the architecture leaves out.
Bedrooms are individually coloured but structurally alike — a full-height headboard wall, a long dressing counter, a mirror that borrows the view. The master bedroom is lined with a coffered oak ceiling and a mosaic wall in sea-glass tones; the guest room is dressed in indigo and white; the children’s room in coral and sand.
